What is the GOTS label?

GOTS certification, or Global Organic Textile Standard, is an international certification that ensures that textiles are manufactured according to strict environmental and social standards.

It guarantees that textile products have been made from at least 95% organic fibers, without the use of pesticides, herbicides or genetically modified seeds.

Additionally, GOTS certification attests that fair working conditions have been respected throughout the supply chain, with the prohibition of child labor and the assurance of decent wages for workers.

We work with the aim of being able to offer as many products as possible whose fabrics are certified by the GOTS label.

DESCRIPTION :

This garment is made in Pantin , in our partner workshops.

Designed with 100% GOTS certified cotton denim from Morocco, it offers a thick and resistant fabric for an impeccable fit and a super comfortable balloon cut . At the back, two large original pockets bring a unique touch, while the front remains sober with two discreet pockets.

The pants feature a hybrid waistband : an elasticated back for optimal support and easy donning, and a front with a MLD embossed metal button closure. Belt loops allow you to adjust the waist with a belt if necessary.

The denim has undergone a stone wash (concept explained just below), thus maintaining a comfortable flexibility and taking on this light blue color.

    The idea: Make jeans for someone who doesn't wear them.

    Aïmane had tried everything. Well, almost.
    Jeans that are too tight? A horror.
    Fitted models? Meh…
    Baggy skater cuts? Not his thing, it's too much like a 16-year-old.

    “I want wide pants but not XXL, original but not too flashy, and really comfortable otherwise I will never wear them”. In short, quite a few constraints.

    A complicated request? Perfect, that's where the most fun comes in.

    So, we took inspiration from our daily lives: subway journeys where you want to be comfortable, bike rides where you need pants that move with you, and long hours in the workshop or in front of your computer, where comfort is king.

    And here is the result, we have created jeans designed to live in, move around and above all never again ask yourself any questions when putting them on.

    A sophisticated cut, combining comfort and style

    After about ten prototypes, we finally found the cut we needed: the balloon cut.

    Loose but not too loose, just enough to be comfortable without looking like a parachute.

    And because we know that comfort makes all the difference, we designed a hybrid belt for the new Metro pants.

    At the back, an elastic band that adapts to your size and makes it super easy to put on.

    On the front, metal buttons with the MLD logo, still in the sober and discreet branding spirit, and belt loops if you want to add a belt.

    A sturdy and durable canvas

    The heart of the Metro Pants is its denim.

    We chose a thick, strong and heavy canvas, coming straight from Morocco, a country renowned for the quality of its Denim canvases.

    Our supplier is also a well-known and recognized reference in the textile sector, and in particular for its Denim.

    Washed with the stone wash method, which uses pumice stones during washing to give the denim an authentic, naturally weathered look, while making it more supple and comfortable to wear.

    This GOTS certified material, a guarantee of responsible practices, tells a story of quality and commitment.

    Over time, this canvas ages beautifully, becoming even more unique with each wash.

    Every crease, every trace of wear becomes a unique detail, a kind of souvenir of the moments spent wearing it in some way...

    It's the style of denim that only gets better over the years, becoming as comfortable as it is authentic.

    Well, we took this universal posture to design our semi-lateral back pockets. Large, practical, and above all, placed right where your hands naturally want to go.

    In addition to being practical, they bring a real originality to the design and an ergonomics that you cannot find elsewhere, at least not to our knowledge.
